At Smiles and More, we understand that you need your smile back quickly. You need to eat, speak, and smile with confidence, and you cannot do that with a cracked plate or a missing tooth. Gary and the team are here to put your mind at ease and get your dentures back to looking their best.

I’ve broken my denture, how much will it cost to fix?

The cost of a repair depends entirely on the extent of the damage. A simple fracture is often quicker and cheaper to fix than a denture that has shattered into multiple pieces or requires a new impression to ensure it still fits your gums correctly.

We pride ourselves on offering competitive, transparent pricing. We do not believe in hidden fees. When you bring your denture to us, we will assess the damage immediately and give you an exact price before we start any work.

Compared to the cost of a brand-new set of dentures, a repair is a highly affordable solution to extend the life of your current appliance.

Where do I go to get my denture fixed?

Whether you are local to Warrington or coming from further afield, our clinics are equipped with on-site laboratories. This means we don’t send your teeth to a third party; Gary and the team handle everything in-house, ensuring the highest level of quality control.

Can I fix my denture myself? Is it safe to use super glue?

We cannot stress this enough: Please do not use super glue on your dentures.

We understand the temptation. It’s late, your denture has snapped, and you just want a quick fix. However, household glues contain toxic chemicals that are not safe to ingest. Furthermore, super glue dissolves slightly in saliva, meaning the bond won’t last long anyway.

More importantly, attempting a DIY repair often makes a professional repair impossible. Super glue can melt the acrylic resin of the denture, distorting the fit. If you glue it back together slightly out of alignment, it will rub your gums, cause sores, and likely break again very quickly. If the damage is severe enough, we may not be able to fix it after it has been glued, meaning you would need a new denture entirely.

My dentures feel loose, how can I fix them?

If your dentures are not broken but feel loose, they likely need a reline, not a repair. Over time, our gums and jawbone shrink naturally—a process called resorption. Your denture, however, stays the same size. This results in a gap between the hard acrylic and your soft tissues, causing the denture to rock or slip.

We can perform a denture reline, adding new material to the denture’s fitting surface to fill the gap and secure the fit again. If your dentures are very old, Gary might recommend a new set to ensure you get the best aesthetic and functional result.

Can you repair my mum’s or dad’s dentures?

Absolutely. We see many patients who bring in dentures for elderly parents. We are also very experienced in treating patients with dementia or mobility issues.

Our team is known for being patient, kind, and reassuring. If your parent is unable to articulate exactly what is wrong, we can assess the denture and the fit to determine the problem. You can read our reviews to see how we have helped many families restore their loved ones’ smiles with dignity and care.

Can I post you my dentures to fix?

While we love to see patients in person to check the fit of the repair, we understand that travel isn’t always possible. If you wish to post your dentures to us, please call us first on 01925 231 601.

We need to discuss the nature of the break to ensure it can be repaired remotely. If you do post them, please ensure they are wrapped securely in bubble wrap and sent via a tracked, insured delivery service. However, for the fastest turnaround, bringing them into the clinic is always the best option.

My tooth has come off my denture, can you put it back on?

Yes, this is one of the most common denture repairs we perform. Whether the tooth has popped off clean or the acrylic holding it has chipped, we can re-attach it.

Ideally, please bring the detached tooth with you. If you have lost the tooth, don’t worry—we have a vast selection of sizes, shapes, and shades in our laboratory. We can match a new tooth to your existing set to make it look seamless.

I got my dentures from another clinic, will you still fix them?

Yes. We are happy to repair dentures that other dentists or clinical dental technicians made. We don’t need to have made the original set to fix them. Our priority is simply to get you smiling again.

How long does it take to fix dentures?

Because we have our own on-site laboratory, we can offer Same-Day Denture Repairs.

In many cases, we can fix a cracked denture or replace a tooth while you wait, or within a few hours. You simply drop them off, go for a coffee or run some errands, and pick them up later that day.

If the break is severe, it might take a little longer, but we will always give you a realistic timeframe when you arrive. We know that being without your teeth is stressful, so we work efficiently to minimise your downtime.
